Kaela, a poet from Georgia now residing in the foggy outskirts of Boston, is an MFA student at Emerson College. Before graduating from Georgia Southern University with a B.A. in English, she received the Roy F. Powell Creative Writing Award in Poetry and has had five publications in the school's literary magazine for the arts The Miscellany. Some of her poetic influences include Anna Swir, Seamus Heaney, Sharon Olds, Wilfred Owen, and Mary Oliver.
